There are 2 levels of licensing - organizational and regatta. The organizational license is keyed on the user's Organization ID.  The software runs in "unregistered" mode when first installed, which limits the ability to print, but otherwise is fully functional.  You register by entering the your Organization ID and registration code, which are sent to you by email once you have purchased the software license.  Once registered, you may print anything from the club management module. The organizational license is a one-time purchase per organization. The organizational license is required before a regatta can be registered.  Registering a regatta allows all printing except results, and publishing to the Reporting Service up to race day.  To remove all printing and publishing restrictions, the regatta must be licensed through the activation process. The regatta licensing is usage-based, which makes pricing fair to regattas of all sizes.  In Regatta Master, this licensing is a seat fee.  Once the regatta has been registered and entries have been imported or entered in the software, the regatta must be activated.  This can be done from within the software, or seat fees can be paid through RegattaCentral if RC manages the registration for the regatta.
