Both registration and activation are done in the Reporting Service screen. The regatta must be registered before it can be activated. This puts it on the Regatta Master Online regatta schedule and gives it an ID number. Registration is free, and can be done any time prior to the regatta. Early registration is encouraged, as it gets the regatta on the calendar well in advance of the event. Once the regatta is registered, and after entries have been imported or entered, the regatta can be activated. The activation requires the seat count to be known, which is why it must be done after entries are in the system.  Activation can be via Paypal (click the Activate button and follow the prompts).  The computer running Regatta Master must be connected to the internet for this step.  Upon paying the seat fee online, an email is sent to the address in the Paypal transaction.  The email contains the activation code, which is copied and pasted into the Activation Key box on the Reporting Service screen.Alternately, if the regatta registration is handled by RegattaCentral, an authorized person from the regatta can email RegattaCentral requesting the Regatta Master fees be deducted from entry fees.  RegattaCentral notifies Regatta Master of this request, and the requestor is emailed the activation key.Complete instructions for both registration and activation are found in the Regatta Master help file under Regatta Management, Getting Started, Registering a Regatta.
